The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) participated as guest lecturers at the April, May and November events, where the hosts were UBB, BIA and the Association of Bulgarian Advertising Agencies.
A special reference book has been published that includes detailed information on brewers’ self-regulatory practice, the UBB’s system, its role in protecting consumers’ interest, and other Alcohol and Health Forum initiatives. The book has been circulated to 500 representatives of governmental institutions, consumer organisations, NGOs and branch organisations. To encourage the SR process in Bulgaria and be most transparent in its public communications, UBB puts on its website articles and documents re the UBB and European responsible commercial communications good practices, brewers self-regulation achievements, initiatives and commitments in the frame of Alcohol and Health Forum, information on European and local acts re consumers protection, alcohol related harm reducing, UBB campaigns in protecting social interest, pictures of different events and documents facsimiles. In November KPMG checked the UBB papers, memos, publications etc. and found that the reported data and results are in compliance with the AHF commitments fulfillment and output indicators are reached as it is stated in UBB Submission form to the EU Forum. |
