Statute of Union of Brewers in Bulgaria (UBB)

 
  Study, popularize, and treasure the history of brewing in Bulgaria;
  Build rapport among members and provide all-round protection of their interests;
 
Article 7. /1/ The Union of Brewers in Bulgaria attains its goals by:

1. Organizing and participating in discussions, symposia, national and regional conferences with or without foreign participation, exhibitions, competitions, etc.

2. Membership in local and foreign organizations, including the representative organization of the brewery industry in the EU - The Brewers of Europe, with all evolving from that act rights and obligations (amendment 2008).

3. Representing the Union in the work of the central and regional authorities, and their decision-making process by:
A/ Presenting standpoints and initiating updates, amendments, and supplementations to the legislation that concerns brewing in Bulgaria.
B/ Proposing changes to the curricula of secondary and higher schools of brewing.
C/ Participating in the execution of decisions taken by other organizations of interest.

4. Studying the foreign and local experience, and popularizing it.

5. Publishing scientific and humanitarian papers in its publication and other mass media.
/2/ The Union may conduct business activities as long as they are related to its primary purpose, which it was registered to attain, and it uses the accumulated income to pursue the goals defined in the Statutes.
/3/ The business activities conducted by the Union are: organizing and co-organizing fairs, symposia, conferences, publishing activities, and other activities that present the achievements of the brewing industry.
/4/ The Union does not share out profits
 

III. MEMBERSHIP, RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS

 
Article 8. /1/ The members of the Union can be regular, associated, or honorary.
/2/ Regular members of the Union can be able-bodied persons or legal entities that produce beer, contribute to the association, participate in its activities, abide by the present Statutes, and pay regularly their membership fees (property payments).
/3/ Associated members of the Union can be able-bodied persons or legal entities involved in the production or trading of the principal or secondary materials and technology of the brewing industry or in educational or scientific activities in the sphere of malt or beer production, who assist the attainment of the Union’s goals, participate in its activities, abide by the present Statutes, and pay regularly their membership fees (property payments).
/4/ Honorary members of the Union may be persons from Bulgaria or abroad, prominent figures in the sphere of the brewing industry and science who have special merit for the attainment of the Union’s goals.
